The World’s Largest Carp Fishing Competition

The IBCC is a legendary week-long competition of great prestige, followed by hundreds of thousands of anglers across Europe. Teams from more than 20 countries participate, ranging from Kazakhstan and Vietnam to England, Norway, and South Africa. The 300 competing teams fish in groups of 3-4 along the breathtaking shores of Hungary’s largest lake, Lake Balaton.

Only carp over 10 kg count towards the rankings, and the team with the highest total weight takes home the grand prize. Additionally, teams catching the largest common and mirror carp are also rewarded. The official lake record was set during our competition, with the fish weighing an impressive 35.6 kg.
