International Balaton Carp Cup

April 12-19, 2025

The World’s Largest Carp Fishing Competition

The IBCC is a legendary, week-long competition of immense prestige, followed by hundreds of thousands of anglers across Europe.
In 2025, teams will arrive from 28 countries — from Vietnam to Kazakhstan, from England to Norway, and as far as South Africa.
The 300 participating teams will fish in groups of 3 to 4 along the breathtaking shores of Hungary’s largest lake, the majestic Lake Balaton. Every carp over 10 kilograms counts toward the final ranking, and the team with the highest total catch takes home the fabulous grand prize.
In addition, special awards go to the teams that land the biggest common and mirror carp.
The official lake record was also set during our competition — in 2024, a carp weighing an astonishing 35.6 kilograms was brought to the scales.
