IBCC draw

The procedure of the draw is laid down in the Competition Rules in point 6. Due to the current epidemiological situation, the draw will be unusual. It will take place online without the presence of the public, during a live television broadcast. You can follow the draw on October 21 from 18:00 on www.ibcc.hu website.

Order of draw

Venue: Club Tihany, Wimbledon Hall

Date and time: 20.10.2020, 08:00-18:00, 21.10.2020, 08:00-16:00 continuously.

During prior registration at the venue, the teams arrive to the administration point set up within the area of Hotel Club Tihany at the time given to them. After presenting and filling in the necessary documents, the team’s representative draws a number from an urn designated for this purpose. In the urn, there are as many numbers as the number of teams that have already registered online until the prior deadline. The name and the number which were drawn are then added to the list. The list is displayed at the venue of the registration. The order which was made in this way is the basis of the list on which the peg draw is based.

The actual order of the draw can be finalized on 21.10.2020, after the registration at the venue has finished. In case some of the teams which have registered beforehand do not show up, the order of the draw will not be changed, only the teams’ place in the list is modified depending on the numbers which have not been drawn.

The Draw

Venue: Club Tihany, in the TV studio set up at “Beach Grill”

Time: 18:00

On October 21, 2020, after the registration, the Head Marshal of the competition, Tamás Csörgő, according to the number of teams which showed up at the registration until 17:45, is going to make the official map of the competition and designate the pegs which will get into the egg shaped boxes used for the draw. In the boxes, there is also a piece of paper which shows the so called PEG number and the geographical indication belonging to it. The boxes are put into an urn from which they will be drawn.

As laid down in the Competition Rules, the person taking part in the draw reads out the name of the team which is in the first place of the list, and draws a box from the urn. After opening the box, he reads out the name of the peg, which is indicated also by the PEG number mentioned before. This is how the draw goes until the last team of the list, when there is only one box in the urn. The result of the draw will be published by the organizer after the draw on the official website of the event.

Publishing the result of the draw

The result of the draw will be published on the official website of the competition, and it will also be presented in the live television show starting at 20:00 on The Fishing and Hunting Channel.
