The VI. International Balaton Carp Cup (IBCC), as the biggest carp angling competition in the world, based on the previous decision made by the organizer Tematik-Kabel Kft., the fish management organization Balaton Fish Management Non-Profit Ltd., and The National Federation of Hungarian Anglers responsible also for international angling was moved from the original spring date between April 19-25. 2020. to October 22-28. 2020.

Considering the uncertain situation caused by the second wave of COVID-19 and the Hungarian government’s 408/2020. (VIII.30.) Decree related to travelling bans in September due to the epidemiological situation, the organizer, the fish management organization, and The National Federation of Hungarian Anglers have made an interlocutory decision, which says that the organization of the competition, including the attendance of domestic and foreign teams, furthermore, in case of cancellation, the final, responsible decision on refunds and offset procedures can be made on 1st October, 2020. The organizer will provide detailed information for the teams about the decision, which will be published on the website of the competition by 2nd October, 12:00.

In case the competition is held, Hungarian legislation and prevailing epidemiological regulations of MOHOSZ OHSZK are deemed valid in further procedures.

Present announcement is published on the official communication channels of IBCC with immediate effect.
